TAC Road Safety

The TAC is a Victorian Government-owned organisation set up to pay for treatment and benefits for people injured in transport accidents, promote road safety and help Victorians get their lives back on track.

The TAC and AFL Victoria have partnered together for over thirty years, working to achieve the vision of no deaths or serious injuries on our roads. We are moving towards a future where every journey is a safe one.

TAC CLUB REWARDS PROGRAM

The TAC Club Rewards Program is back, giving grassroots football and netball clubs the opportunity to earn a share in funding by participating in the mission to eliminate deaths and serious injuries on our roads.

As part of the program, all AFL Victoria aligned clubs across regional Victoria and in the metropolitan leagues can take part and earn up to $10,000 in funding by promoting road safety to their community.

The TAC and AFL Victoria’s Road Safety Round is taking place on Friday 19th – Sunday 21st July which will see AFL Victoria clubs and members of the wider footy and netball community take to the field wearing a blue armband. These bands serve as a reminder that we all have a responsibility to drive safely and are in honour of every life lost on the road.

AFL Gippsland will be distributing these to all Clubs over the coming weeks and Clubs are able to wear them on home games the following weekend if required.

For more information for Gippsland Clubs interested in engaging in the Program in 2024 please contact Nicole Bertuna, Club Development Lead on 0499 321 423 or email nicole.bertuna@afl.com.au
