Gippsland’s 2025 Participation Team Announced

AFL Victoria and AFL Gippsland are thrilled to unveil the dynamic team driving grassroots football participation across the region in 2025. This dedicated group will be bringing exciting programs and opportunities to local communities right across the region.

This team, made up of passionate locals from all corners of Gippsland, will be instrumental in delivering key participation initiatives, ensuring the growth and accessibility of AFL for everyone.

Meet the 2025 Gippsland Participation Team led by Participation Coordinator, Cailtin Weston:

• Hayley Carroll (Wellington)
• Jarryd Guaganovic (Wellington/South Gippsland)
• Elli Linney (South Gippsland)
• Alisha Hemming (South Gippsland)

What will this team be doing?

This team will be on the ground delivering vital programs, including:

• School Holiday Programs: Engaging kids with fun football program during school holidays.
• School Visits: Bringing the excitement of AFL into local schools.
• AFL and AFLW Community Camps: Providing opportunities for fans to connect with their favourite athletes.
• Auskick and Superkick: Introducing young children to the fundamentals of football in a fun and inclusive environment.
• AFL Nines: Running competitions of this new and exciting football format.

This team will be working within all the local school systems, and local football clubs, to ensure that everyone has the chance to participate in AFL locally.
