The 2022 Under 18s Gippsland Interleague Carnival will take place this Wednesday 27 June at the Morwell Recreation Reserve.
The Carnival will adopt a new format based on the ladder at the conclusion of the previous carnival. All teams will be split into pools.
Pool A:
• 1st place from the previous season (Gippsland League)
• 3rd place from the previous season (Mid Gippsland)
• 5th place from the previous season (North Gippsland)
Pool B:
• 2nd place from the previous season (West Gippsland)
• 4th place from the previous season (Ellinbank & District)
• 6th place from the previous season (East Gippsland)
All teams in the same pool will play each other.
At the conclusion of the pooled matches a Finals Series to determine final rankings is played:
• Pool A 3rd v Pool B 3rd
Winner finishes 5th, Loser finishes 6th
• Pool A 2nd v Pool B 2nd
Winner finishes 3rd, Loser finishes 4th
• Pool A 1st v Pool B 1st
Winner finishes 1st, Loser finishes 2nd
To be deemed Champions of the Carnival, you must:
• Finish on top of the ladder in your respective pool
• Win the championship game between the two teams who finished on 1st each pool.
