Female Football Gippsland

On Sunday 22nd October AFL Gippsland hosted a Female Football Forum with around 30 participants joining us from across most existing teams in the youth girls and womens competition and several potential new team representatives.

We covered four main areas:

1. Female Football Gippsland (FFG) competition
2. AFL – Girls and Womens Action Plan
3. Participation
4. Talent Program and Coaching support

In moving to a stand-alone entity, the FFG competition will require a new committee and a paid operations manager position to administer the competition.

1. We would like to call for expressions of interest from existing Club representatives to form a selection committee for the Operations Manager position. Ideally, we would have a group of 5-7 representatives who will accept applications and work towards short listing applicants in readiness for the new committee. Please email info@aflgippsland.com.au if you are interested in being on the selection committee. The role will be advertised from today, so ideally, we would have this group formed by the 27th October.
2. The AGM for FFG will be held on Sunday 26^th November from 1:00pm at the Morwell Bowls Club. You can download the Agenda here.
3. Leading into the AGM we are also calling for Expressions of Interest for committee members. If you have an interest in being a committee member, or would like to nominate someone from your club, again email info@aflgippsland.com.au and we arrange to send a nomination form.
