Gippsland Power: A Breeding Ground for Future AFL Stars

The Gippsland Power Football Club, competing in the Coates Talent League, has recently celebrated a remarkable success in player recruitment. This success underscores the club’s dedication to nurturing young athletes and providing them with the skills and opportunities to excel at the highest level. Headquartered at the AFL Centre of Excellence in Morwell, the Power program provides a talent pathway for Gippsland footballers with an Under 16s and Under 18s program for both boys and girls.

Telstra Footy County Grants Open for Applications

The Telstra Footy County Grants are now open for applications providing opportunities for football clubs in Gippsland to apply for grants to support their club. In 2024 a total of $70,449 was shared by 37 clubs in Gippsland.

New Youth Girls Age Groups for 2025

Following the successful Female Football Forum held in Morwell on 24th June and extensive feedback from our stakeholders, AFL Gippsland is excited to announce significant enhancements to the youth girls' football pathway in the region. We acknowledge the needs and aspirations of our community and are thrilled to introduce two new age groups for girls, enhancing participation opportunities for young female athletes.
