As we prepare for the 2026 season, AFL Gippsland is pleased to confirm the return of our Club Development Conference, delivered across the region throughout March.
This is a practical, no-nonsense evening designed to support the people who keep our clubs running — volunteers, coaches, Auskick coordinators and committee members. The focus is simple: real challenges, real conversations and practical ideas you can take straight back to your club. No jargon. No overcomplication. Just useful support ahead of the season.
What to Expect
Participants will select one learning stream aligned to their role:
Club Development & Executive – A relaxed, down-to-earth session focused on sharing the workload, setting clear expectations, strengthening governance foundations and staying organised and compliant — without the overwhelm.
Auskick Coordinators – Practical strategies to make Auskick delivery smoother and more enjoyable — improving session flow, engaging parents positively and keeping every participant involved and supported.
Junior Footy Coaches Covering the essentials — communication, effective session design and building an inclusive, positive team culture to create more good days at the footy in 2026.
Each stream will include practical discussion, examples from local clubs and opportunities to connect with others performing similar roles across Gippsland.

We strongly encourage clubs to send multiple representatives — committee members, coaches and coordinators — to ensure alignment and shared understanding heading into the 2026 season.
