Established in 1937, the Ellinbank & District Football League Inc consists of 11 clubs including: Buln Buln, Catani, Ellinbank, Lang Lang, Longwarry, Neerim Neerim South, Nilma Darnum, Nyora, Poowong, Trafalgar and Yarragon. The EDFL age groups include Seniors, Reserves, Thirds and Fourths.
The East Gippsland Football Netball League comprises eight clubs; Boisdale-Briagolong, Lakes Entrance, Lindenow, Lucknow, Orbost Snowy Rovers, Paynesville, Stratford and Wy Yung. Each senior club fields Seniors, Reserves and Under 17 and a half. The clubs also have A Grade, B Grade, C Grade, D Grade, 17 and Under and 15 and Under Netball teams.
Gippsland League is the ‘premier football/netball league’ in Gippsland. The league consists of the region’s ten largest towns/cities. Bairnsdale, Drouin, Leongatha, Maffra, Moe, Morwell, Sale, Traralgon, Warragul and Wonthaggi, while the league covers six local councils; Baw Baw, Bass Coast, East Gippsland, Latrobe City, South Gippsland and Wellington.
The Mid-Gippsland Football League was formed in 1935 with Seniors, Reserves and Thirds. The MGFNL currently consists of 13 clubs including: Boolarra, Fish Creek, Foster, Hill End, Meeniyan, Dumbalk United, Mirboo North, Morwell East, Newborough, Stony Creek, Tarwin, Thorpdale, Toora & Yinnar.
The AGL North Gippsland Football Netball League’s purpose is to promote, advance, foster and cultivate the games of Australian Football and Netball in the Gippsland region. Teams in the North Gippsland Football Netball League including: Churchill, Cowwarr, Glengarry, Gormandale, Heyfield, Rosedale, Sale City, Traralgon Tyers United, Woodside & District, Yarram and Yallourn Yallourn North Football Netball Clubs. Each club currently has a Seniors, Reserves and Thirds football teams.
Based in East Gippsland, the Omeo and District Football League (ODFL) was founded in 1893 and includes a senior football team and junior football team with the following teams: Bruthen, Buchan, Lindenow South, Omeo-Benambra, Swan Reach and Swifts Creek
The Alex Scott & Staff West Gippsland Football Netball Competition was formed in 2017 as part of the AFL Gippsland Senior Football Leagues Review of 2015-16.
The inaugural season featured 10 clubs; Bunyip, Cora Lynn, Dalyston, Garfield, Inverloch-Kongwak, Kilcunda-Bass, Koo Wee Rup, Korumburra-Bena, Nar Nar Goon and Phillip Island. 2019 saw the addition of two new clubs, with Warragul Industrials and Tooradin Dalmore welcomed to make WGFNC a 12 team competition. The competition comprises four grades of football (seniors, reserves, under-18 and under-16) and eight grades of netball (A-grade, B-grade, C-grade, D-Grade, 17-&-Under, 15-&-Under, 13-&-Under and 11-&-Under).
The CGJFL was formed in 1972 after the Yallourn & District Junior Football League was disbanded. Teams in the CGJFL include Boolarra, Fish Creek, Hill End, Leongatha, Meeniyan Dumbalk United, Mirboo North, Moe, Morwell, Newborough, Stony Creek, Tarwin, Yallourn North and Yinnar
The Sale & District Junior Football Association consists of a fourteen round home-and-away season with a three-week finals series. There are 44 teams across all divisions and More than 600 registered participants. Clubs include: Boisdale-Briagolong, College, Heyfield, Maffra, Nambrok/Newry, Sale, Sale City, Southern Suns, Stratford, Woodside
The Southern Gippsland Junior Football Competition was created in 2017 after the winding up of the Alberton Junior Football League. It is the only junior football competition in South Gippsland. The competition consists of eight clubs that field a total of 22 teams across four grades of football, under 10, under 12 and under 14. Clubs include: Corner Inlet, Dalyston, Inverloch, Kilcunda Bass, Koo Wee Rup, Korumburra Bena, Phillip Island, Tarwin, Wonthaggi Power
Traralgon & District Junior Football League consists of 9 clubs. Including Churchill, Combined Saints, Glengarry, Pax Hill, Police Boys, Southside, Rosedale, TEDAS and West End. A total of approximately 800 junior footballers are catered for each weekend. There are four Age Groups, Under 9, 11, 13 & 15.
The Warragul & District Junior Football League encompasses 11 Junior Clubs in a geographical area between Garfield and Yarragon. These teams include Buln Buln, Bunyip, Caldermeade, Ellinbank, Garfield, Hallora, Longwarry, Neerim District, Trafalgar, The Bulls, Warragul & Yarragon.
The West Gippsland Junior Football Competition encompasses Drouin Maroon, Drouin Gold, Nyora, Koo Wee Rup, Longwarry, Nar Nar Goon, Newborough, Tooradin, Warragul Blues, Warragul Colts and Warranor.
The East Gippsland Junior Football Association is the junior competition under Football Netball East Gippsland. The East Gippsland juniors play in three age groups including Under 11s, Under 13s and Under 15s.
The association is comprised of 7 clubs which include Bairnsdale, Lakes Entrance, Lindenow, Luckow, Orbost Snowy Rovers, Paynesville and Wy Yung.
Founded in 2022, Female Football Gippsland saw the merger of all Youth Girls competitions and the AFL Gippsland Women’s to create one competition across the Gippsland Region. Teams in the FFG include: Bairnsdale, Boisdale-Briagolong, Bunyip, Churchill, Dalyston, Drouin, Foster, Korumburra-Bena, Lindenow South, Morwell, Moe, Newborough, Sale, Sale City, Traralgon, Phillip Island, Warragul Industrials, Woodside and Yinnar
